Khajjiar Lake is located in the Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, India. History Of Khajjiar Lake
The history of Khajjiar lake is associated with the rulers of Chamba. The Rajput rulers ruled the Chamba Valley in the 6th century. and made it his capital. The region became a part of the Mughal Empire in the medieval period. and later came under various Sikh states.
But it was taken over by the British. It became a part of the state of Himachal Pradesh when it came into existence on 15 April 1948.
