Located in Gujarat, this sanctuary is situated around a large lake and is home to more than 250 bird species, including flamingos, pelicans, and storks. 

8. Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary  

Situated in Karnataka, this sanctuary is home to several bird species, including the painted stork, the Asian openbill stork, and the white ibis. 

9. Pong Dam Bird Sanctuary  

Situated in Himachal Pradesh, this sanctuary is located around the Pong Dam reservoir and is home to more than 220 bird species, during winter. 

10. Mayani Bird Sanctuary   

Located in Maharashtra, this sanctuary is home to several bird species, including the black ibis, the brahminy duck, and the painted stork.
